“Isaac is a phenomenal teacher and facilitator…“
When I first started learning about energy policy in New York State, Isaac was one of the most instantly friendly, open, and kind people that I had the pleasure of meeting on my journey. As a young woman of color, it instantly made spaces feel more comfortable and accessible, especially those that have previously not been very diverse. I also really benefited from his informal mentorship; Isaac has a long history of activism and advocacy in New York, and I appreciated being able to discuss policy topics that I wasn’t yet an expert on with someone patient, nonjudgmental, and a great communicator.
On top of that, Isaac has been an incredible peer in the climate space – I’ve enjoyed learning about political strategy, messaging, and message timing, coalition building, press conference hosting, and campaign planning from working with him. Isaac is a phenomenal teacher and facilitator, and does a great job of receiving and offering feedback, even in the occasional tense and urgent situation. I can’t recommend Isaac enough as someone who will really listen to your needs and work hard to deliver a curated solution that fits the moment.Avni Pravin-BuckDeputy Director, Alliance for a Green Economy
“Isaac is an exceptional organizer and advocate…”
Isaac is an exceptional organizer and advocate with a deep understanding of the political system and a keen sense of the importance of building grassroots movements. I’ve known Isaac for about 15 years, and he has been a key resource for many people working to raise awareness of important issues. Isaac and I collaborated to help achieve the ban on high-volume hydraulic fracturing in New York State. More recently, we have been building an outreach campaign to educate people about why nuclear power is not a climate solution. Isaac has a tremendous network because of his open-minded and generous demeanor. While he is gentle and kind, he is also tenacious and passionate about his beliefs and values. I know that Isaac will always work hard and support others in every endeavor.

“Isaac is a thoughtful and clear communicator who can cope with the challenges that come along with the process.”
Isaac and I spent 2 years in partnership, developing and offering personal support strategies to leaders in the New York State climate movement. Isaac came to it as a seasoned and well-respected member of the non-profit climate activist community, who had himself experienced and recovered from the burnout that the work can bring. He came to our project with a deep compassion for his peers, and the capacity for thoughtful and non-judgmental assessment of what might work, what might be needed, what to try, and how to tweak it. His capacity to collaborate in developing and presenting programs for personal (and thereby movement) sustainability carried those same qualities of compassionate care, commitment, and emotional intelligence. It was an honor to work with him, and I would not have been able to use the professional skills I brought to the table nearly as effectively without his partnership and active collaboration. I saw the respect, trust, and appreciation that his colleagues held for him, which are qualities that any good consultant must be able to elicit. Isaac is a thoughtful and clear communicator who can cope with the challenges that come along with the process. He is gifted in this work, and I highly recommend him.

[Isaac’s] thoughtful, relational facilitation balances strategic rigor with care, trust-building, and cultural awareness.
I have had the joy of working with Isaac in a board capacity. He effectively builds teams from the ground up by clarifying roles and aligning governance, strategy, and values, centering staff and teams in collaborative structures that reflect the communities served and are grounded in equity, accountability, and shared leadership. Isaac engages board and team members with varied experience and capacity, creating inclusive spaces while maintaining clear decision-making, accountability, and strategic focus. His thoughtful, relational facilitation balances strategic rigor with care, trust-building, and cultural awareness. I recommend him without reservation for roles requiring collaborative leadership, strategic insight, and deep community commitment.

“…Isaac has been imperative in developing our board of directors.”
I have worked with Isaac for 5 years through the Troy Bike Rescue, a nonprofit, community-oriented bicycle shop. As a staff member, Isaac has been imperative in developing our board of directors. He goes out of his way to understand individuals and whether their values, motivations, and teaming philosophy are a match for the specific goals of the organization. Isaac is also a strong facilitator and, through his thoughtful and caring approach, he can extract high returns during meetings and from individuals. His oversight in developing the Troy Bike Rescue board of directors has taken the organization from a team of 2 struggling to manage basic operations to a team of 11, with 3 staff members, that works effectively together to develop our programming. Without Isaac, I can confidently say Troy Bike Rescue would not be in the period of growth we are experiencing.
